The Garden of Cosmic Speculation
Yesterday I went to THE GARDEN OF COSMIC SPECULATION at Portrack House in Scotland. This interesting garden was designed by Maggie Keswick and her husband Charles Jencks and is open once a year to raise money for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres. The garden is sculpted and controlled with earth mounds, lakes, bridges and architecture but I am not sure I really liked it much. I am more of a cottage garden sort of girl......

Semana Santa
As we move into Holy Week I wish I was here

Rosie's village, Zuheros, in Southern Spain. We have spent many happy hours hanging about every day and into the night hanging about on the tiny streets of this village and have felt privileged to be onlookers and moved by the spectacle itself. Its not all visual, its the beat of the drum going on often all through the night and hearing local women spontaneously moved to sing as the virgin passes by.
