The turkey red comes from the back of a quilt I unpicked. Applique is just my favourite thing particularly when I have patchwork underneath.

Textile Artist
Textile Artist at http://www.textileartist.org/ is an online community for artists working with textile techniques as well as art enthusiasts. It was started last October by Samuel and Joseph Pitcher, the sons of 62 Group member Sue Stone. Its a great site to read interviews with contemporary textile artists and to be inspired and to keep up with whats happening in the textile calendar. Today they published a feature on my Memento Mori series of work which some of you who follow my blog might not be aware about. Read about it HERE.
