CF
This newish collage was built up round the lovely embroidered initials. The piece of chintz was given to me by an artist whose work I really admire - Jan Miller. Unfortunately she keeps a low profile and does not have a web site but some of you might know of her quiet, understated collage work.

The final pages
My sketchbook is full so I am turning back to my fabrics this week. Hope my dabblings have inspired you to pick up your paints and collage ingredients!

Buttons and Bows ( again!)
Further to the previous post entitled "Buttons and Bow" several people have guided me to this wonderful You Tube link. I have been playing David Bowie in a maudlin mood all week but this clip has put me in a more up beat mood for the next week!

An Alphabet of Animals
If you are in London and fancy a day trip to the countryside or if you live in Kent then check out my daughter Alice's exhibition at Mascells Gallery Paddock Wood. She is not just exhibiting her animal alphabet screen prints but there is a wall which is a mood board of her inspiration, sketchbooks and working drawings so you can really see the thought processes behind her work. Here is the link to Mascells Gallery.
