I have been neglecting my Etsy shop and it had got quite empty as I had withdrawn items to sell in my studio at the weekend. I have now restocked so if you are interested in any of these pieces they are for sale HERE

The Book Apocathery
My studio will be open all this weekend ( 26/27 April) as part of a special "Paper and Print" event at The Hearth in conjunction with the Hexham Book Festival. There will be illustrators, small publishers , book artists and The Bewick Society and in my studio I will be showing a small collection of book related art work in suitcases called The Book Apocathery. I wasn't involved in the project myself but am very happy to showcase the work of others particularly this beautiful installation by Teresa Easton based on her reading of The Origin of the Species.
Hope to see you at The Hearth this weekend.

Easter weekend
Lovely weekend with family and gardening at home, the allotment and my son's garden. Best thing seen was this photograph in an exhibition at the wonderful Woodhorn Colliery Museum. A bit surreal, the elephants are pulling an elephant skeleton presumably to the Hancock Museum. Taken in Newcastle - late Victorian. The exhibition is well worth a visit. Prints of lantern slides found in the Northumberland Archives by an unknown photographer.

A new appliqué
I am very lucky to be given bits and pieces to use in my work. This applique is on to the base of a beautiful old quilt fragment sent to me from Scotland.
