Loving Lace

You will rarely see lace in my work. I do however have a large collection and feel it is time to try and use it and pass the knowledge on. Here are a couple of  teaching samples I have made in the past week to advertise a course I am going to do about lace in November at The Hearth

Cheap workshop places available!
Due to one thing and another places have become available on a workshop I will be teaching at Cosby just south of Leicester on Thursday 14th May. This hasn't been advertised as I am running it for the Cosby Quilting Group but they have agreed to take on some "guests" at £25 for a day's workshop with me on a Vintage Textile Collage theme. If you are interested please contact me initially through my website and then I will pass on your details to the organiser. You need to supply the vintage bits and pieces but I can tell you what you need . If anyone reading this is in the Midlands or that area please share this post as they want to fill the places.

Across the wide ocean

Lots of blue bits of fabric around in my studio left over from the Blue  Boro style  workshop I ran at the weekend.(For photos of the results see my Facebook page) Used some bits today to create this little collage. The start of a new body of work about the sea I think and certainly a workshop theme for the Autumn.

A new deer design which has just gone in to my ETSY shop. The quilt foundation that I have worked on to is particularly pretty.
